UN second in command called out Faux news and rushbo in that the good news of the UN actions doesn't get out. Goofy Bolton dusted his cookie and said that Kofi Anan's staff should resign.

America demanded last night that Kofi Annan, the United Nations Secretary General, repudiate a speech by his deputy in which he savaged Washington for cynical "UN-bashing".

Mark Malloch Brown criticised the Americans for using the UN when they needed it abroad but failing to defend it at home.


Bolton:

John Bolton, America's UN ambassador and a veteran critic of the UN, called the speech a "very, very grave mistake". If not repudiated, it could destroy hopes of reaching agreement on much-needed reforms, he added.

"To have the deputy secretary general criticise the United States in such a manner can only do grave harm to the United Nations," he said. "I spoke to the secretary general this morning. I said, 'I've known you since 1989 and I'm telling you this is the worst mistake by a senior UN official that I have seen in that entire time'."
