Here, lemmings, lemmings, lemmings! Look over here!
Edited on Wed Jun-07-06 07:31 PM by Tom Yossarian Joad
We're no better off than the freepers over here. We go after the repug talking points like hungry dogs after raw meat.

There are important issues at hand, but the deaths of thousands caused by this administration have been completely forgotten for the moment.

Or, is it just me?

1. And the war rages on
And our children die, our spouses won't come home tonight... or tomorrow night...

And the lies continue.

Yes, we are too easily distracted.

We are like children at best or at worst, Elen Degenaris's Charactor in "Finding Nemo:" Shiny Thing!

3. When I search on the word "Iraq" just in this one forum I get
pages and pages and pages of hits, just since June 4th.

6. Here is a glimmer of hope
Thank you First Lieutenant Ehren Watada

Today, Wednesday, June 7th U.S. Army First Lieutenant Ehren Watada became the first commissioned officer to refuse deployment to the unlawful Iraq war and occupation. He announced his intention to disobey the illegal order to deploy to Iraq in coordinated press conferences in Tacoma, Washington and Honolulu, Hawaii.

7. Please -- forget?
None of us has forgotten -- but we sure get sick of saying the SAME SHIT over and over and BEING RIGHT FOR ALMOST SIX DAMN YEARS, and still no one listens.

11. Eh, I won't get worn out.
Sometimes I think I'm at the end of my rope, think I should just give in and slap a flag on my car tune out. But then the next day, I'm all pissed off again. Something about the AWFULNESS of these people just feeds my fire.

Ann Whatsername is just another log on my everlasting barbecue of rage.

10. A mild distraction at best...
... We spout our anger and move on... I for one have not forgotten, and will never forget, as I have a loved one in the fray.

12. you know, as do the rest of us, that there has to be an occasional moment
of surcease, otherwise we burn out far too quickly. no, we don't forget, but we do need to recharge, and even rest, from time to time.
