5. The U.S. government just announced it
Edited on Thu Jun-08-06 02:48 AM by still_one
I don't know whether it is true or not, but I do NOT think this is a coincidence

http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Senators_write_Bush_after_classified_Iraq_0607.html

Also the global markets have cut their losses so the world seems to believe it

aljazeera and other Arab news organizations are reporting it along with the Iraqi PM

They wouldn't all be saying this if they didn't confirm it with DNA

6. If true I am glad, but I also agree this will NOT end the mess
we caused in Iraq. In fact it has nothing to do with the civil war we caused

7. All it means is that...
...they've found some dead Middle Eastern-looking guy with a beard. 'Yep, that's gotta be Zarqawi: he's got a beard and he's pretty Middle Eastern-looking, just like it says in this here 'wanted' poster. Mission accomplished!'

8. Oh, then it must be true
:sarcasm: (Not directed at the OP.)

At this point they'd have to drag Zarqawi's dead body in front of me, along with his weeping mother, to undergo the DNA test which I'd have to witness with my own eyes, for me to believe it. And even then it wouldn't make an iota of difference to the dire situation in Iraq.

9. I am skeptical also, but have to believe they would be so bold
to announce it this way with multiple confirmations if they couldn't back it up

If he came out with a tape a few days later contradicting this it would be an unbelievable blunder

What will be the surprise to the wing nuts, is NOT that he is dead, but that the violence does not end

10. They could confirm it with certainty because he is their creation.
He is made up BS. All they have to do to make him dead is stop blaming shit and beheadings on him.

For a long while, every single beheading and bomb blown up was blamed on him.

They can put him to rest as easily as they brought him out.

For years they have been chasing his shadow all around that part of the planet.

They tell us he survived countless attempts on his life in bombing raids and taxi cab shootouts.

They told us numerous times he was dead.

There is no fucking way he is dead.

There is no fucking way he is real.

12. I think he really is dead this time, and he is real
why, because the * administration was given an opportunity in 2002 to get him, and he rejected that opportunity 3 times, because he wanted to invade Iraq.

In addition, the * administration will try to use this a propoganda for their cause, but I doubt it will have any legs beyond next week. The civil war he created in Iraq is NOT going away, and unfortunately the killing will not stop

I do understand why you are skeptical, but if it wasn't confirmed by so many around the world, I would also feel the same way. In addition, if it were NOT true, it would be too easy for him to invalidate it with a video, and I don't think that will happen...

11. The number of sources doesn't sway me
Didn't multiple corporate media sources also persuade many that Saddam had a nuclear weapons program?

Sorry, I don't mean to sound argumentative. I just have zero faith in anything BushCo wants us to believe. This maladministration used up its good will with me years ago with its non-stop propaganda. I no longer feel charitable, so I'll wait and see what reliable sources have to say about it a few weeks/months from now, if anything, after those who care about the truth have a chance to investigate it fully.

13. I have zero faith in them also
if it isn't true they we will know shortly, because I have no doubt that a tape would be forth-coming by him to humiliate us, which I personally don't think will happen

18. RIP. He died twice already
And the last time was one year ago as well.

IRAQ: FALLUJAH SHEIKH SAYS AL-ZARQAWI DIED ON FRIDAY

Baghdad, 2 June (AKI) - The Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi - al-Qaeda's leader in Iraq - died on Friday and his body is in Fallujah's cemetary, an Iraqi Sunni sheikh, Ammar Abdel Rahim Nasir, has told the Saudi on-line newspaper Al-Medina. He claims that gunfights which broke out in Fallujah in the last few days involved militants trying to protect the insurgency leader's tomb from a group of American soldiers patrolling the area.

During a telephone conversation from the city of Fallujah with the Saudi newspaper, Nasir said al-Zarqawi was taken there after being injured in the city of Ramadi around three weeks ago, and may have been treated by two doctors who had worked with his aides in Baghdad. He said the two doctors had stopped a serious haemorrhage in al-Zarqawi's intestines, but that after his condition worsened last week, the militant died on Friday.

Nasir adds that in his will the insurgent leader left the order that no funeral should be held for him and the right to announce his death should be left to the al-Qaeda leadership in Afghanistan and Osama bin Laden.

The Al-Medina newspaper reports that it also called the headmaster of a school in Fallujah, who preferred to remain anonymous, but confirmed that many people in the city were aware of the fact that al-Zarqawi had recently been taken to the city.

Hmmm, most newspapers seem to have removed the previous anouncement already. This Italian newspaper probably forgot about it.

19. jason came back to life in a cemetary when a bolt of lightning struck....
ground and reignited him.

I suspect that's why his body will not be found in his plot in Fallujah if they looked.
