Ok, Count the Coincidences Surrounding Zarqawi's Death
1) Gay Marriage Ban shot down
2) Iraq announces new Interior and Defense Ministers
3) Haditha and other incidents painting US military in Iraq in VERY bad light
4) GOP stalwart seats in the House in precarious position

Any more?

1. I've gotten so cynical I don't even believe Zarqawi exists except as
a bogeyman in Chimp's mind.

Yes...it's very convenient. If they did indeed get someone they believe is a terrorist that will stop the the killing in Iraq...then fine....for them.

I think they've run out of options given that "color codes" and bomb threats in Congress are losing their magic. If Zarqawi is real or not they are caught in their own "cry wolf" syndrome.

I wonder if there will be rejoicing in the streets or if most Americans will do a big "Ho Hum." Matthews, Blizter and Faux will get a good week of propaganda out of it. Anything to notch up the Chimps ratings.

4. CNN said someone from Jordan and on the inside may have been helping
locate Zarqawi... someone who could take a large bounty and then turn around and fund more insurgency. :eyes:

And so what if 'he' is dead. "Zarqawi" is now a a martyr, a great weapon in an asymmetrical war.

If the Fake Cowboy from Crawford gets on TV today to bloviate about it, it will demonstrate how much the 'Decider' does not understand the enemy, and it will also give the 'terrorists' a HUGH1! boost in morale. Chalk one up for the enemy... AGAIN! :eyes:

13. Yep, unless A-Z's death means the war is over, where's the "victory"?
We know Bush will claim one, but I'm having trouble seeing what difference this will make in getting us out of the quagmire.

This was suppost to make you FORGET about all those nasty things you listed!

Today it's your duty to walk around, and thump your chest and tell everyone you know how great this war is.

6. coincidence and convenient...
when a new scandal broke and/or approval ratings dropped, they'd raise the terror alert colors...

that didn't work anymore...

so now an assassination (like Hussein's 2 sons)...

they probably had him years ago and are dragging him out...is Osama bin Forgotten next?

let's check their ankles for freezer burn

9. With *this* administration??? Did you listen to *'s speech today?
In his speech this morning made sure to heap great praise upon the US military. TOTAL distraction and smoothing of the ruffled Haditha feathers.

ruffled by the pseudo-amnesty program.
