No. 1 in Iraq, who had nothing to do with 9/11, killed again...
Edited on Thu Jun-08-06 06:30 AM by Postman
If he were killed on DAY 1 of the invasion, saving the lives of innocent Iraqi's, maybe this would be a "victory". His killing doesn't wipe clean the fact that many people are dead who should still be alive and it doesn't erase the fact that Iraq was a lie from day one.

snip:
Amir Muhammed Ali, a 45-year-old stock broker in Baghdad, was skeptical that al-Zarqawi’s death would end the unrelenting violence in the country, saying he was a foreigner but the Iraqi resistance to U.S.-led forces would likely continue.

“He didn’t represent the resistance, someone will replace him and the operations will go on,” he said.

1. Would Zarqawi even have been in Iraq if the US weren't there?
I believe that the average Iraqi sees that the US presence is the curse of all time.

in areas where Saddam Hussein had no control. Remember the NO FLY ZONES? They could have killed him then. I think MSNBC did a story on how they passed up the opportunity to kill him before the war because if they did that, it would have removed their reason for invading Iraq in the first place

4. It's appalling what we have done to their country.
And for no discernible reason. It's like America is insane now.

3. Absolutely correct!
Another smokescreen. Nothing to do with 9/11. Rather a crisis created by our presence in Iraq because of lies our government told us.

5. killed again? - he was "killed" in the far east but Bush always gets 2 or
more announcements to the media for any event deemed good PR - remember 2002 chase for DNA of bin Laden because we knew one of the bodies was his!

I love our media.
