Please!!!

I have two online opportunities for you to help defeat Sensenbrenner and you don't have to live in his district! His Democratic opponent is Bryan Kennedy, and voting for Bryan on these websites will help him defeat this corrupt and useless congressman.

Read more about Bryan Kennedy at wwww.bk2006.org

1.Democracy for America is hosting an online vote to determine which congressional candidate will receive their next national DFA-List endorsement. The winning candidate will receive a DFA-List endorsement and a national e-mail from DFA's Chair Jim Dean.

Voting for the first round closes on Friday, June 16 at 5:00 pm Eastern Time.

2. Governor Mark Warner's Forward Together PAC has already contributed to more than 50 campaigns in more than 30 states. Now they are opening up the process. They are asking folks across the country to weigh in on which candidates they should support.

Bryan is in contention to win the Forward Together PAC "Map Changer" candidate contest. 10 campaigns will each receive sizeable contributions from Forward Together PAC and the grand prize will be a fundraiser with Governor Warner.

They have just launched the first round of their three round contest - the nomination round. Candidates receiving the most support will advance to the second round where 50 campaigns will compete for sizeable contributions. Go to http://www.forwardtogetherpac.com/mapchangers to nominate Bryan to advance to the second round!

You have to create an account for this but it takes less than a minute.

Of course there are lots of other good candidates that can be helped by this too!

7. Voted for Kennedy, mainly for his stance on health care reform
universal catastrophic insurance is very important and I don't understand why more progressives aren't fighting for it. Unlike universal single-payer, universal catastrophic can be put in place right now. The money is there and the need is tremendous.

Catastrophic major medical expenses are what ruins people or even kills them. Straight up cash for your annual checkup has never bankrupted anyone but will easily prevent major problems in the future.

8. I think the Dems should talk about this more
In Wisconsin, there is a plan floating about to do this locally - if we wait for it to be done nationally it might be a very long time. 4 years ago my best friend died of ovarian cancer, which was detected too late to treat, because she had no job and no insurance. More people die from lack of insurance than from lots of other things, but its impossible to quantify.

14. make a headline like "Defeat Sensonbrennor"
Might make more of a difference. We are approaching the 1 year anniversery of his turning off the microphones on that Patriot Act hearing. June 10th I believe.
