my little rant........

I just came home a little while ago and happened to turn on CNN. They were saying, now that Zarqawi is dead, bin Laden is next. (Yeah, right........like that'll ever happen!) Anyway, back to the CNN story.......they were talking about how bin Laden is being supported by the Taliban in Afghanistan and how the Taliban is more powerful than anyone ever expected them to be.

Now here's my rant:

I don't ever want to hear the words 'NO ONE COULD HAVE IMAGINED....' etc. Obviously, someone could have imagined it..........it just wasn't you!!

If our leaders (and I use that term loosely) can't imagine, they need to find someone who can imagine the unimaginable!!! It is their job to imagine the unimaginable and the excuse 'no one could have imagined' will NOT be accepted in the future!!

personalizing what is a deep-seated and profound anti-imperialist movement. Did they really think the Iraqi Resistance (most of it native Iraqi) will just surrender because one more person has died in the resistance? And do they really think that the forces of an Islamic caliphate will just surrender even if they manage to "get" bin Laden?

Give me a friggin' break.
