post them on DU. How do you post a pic on DU? I need some help.

1. First , you need to post the pictures on a web host site like Photobucket.

Then, copy the URl of the photo and paste it into your DU post and VOILA! Pictures appear as if by magic! Photobucket is free and easy. Good luck.

You could use flickr... http://www.flickr.com/learn_more.gne (on page two of the more info, it mentions "Post photos to just about any blog (LiveJournal, Blogger, Moveable Type, Typepad, Manila, you name it!")... I don't have any experience with it, so look before you leap.

Anyway, once you have it hosted somewhere on the web, it's just another image on the internet for posting (just enter the URL for it).

You don't have to register, just upload them and save the urls.
One advantage/disadvantage: "Images hosted larger than 250k are resized"
That makes it a lot easier for people on dial-up.

my guess is that it will just use the first or last frame,

6. I forget how I resized this back when... so it didn't need resizing...

just the same, I will try next time I have a gif that is too large to upload on one of these sites....

8. FYI, I tried to see if photobucket would resize the gif better than

tinypic and noticed that they are now allowing 1 meg and under.... so again, no resize for me.

Valid file types: gif, jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, swf
Images larger than 1 MB are automatically resized.
