A question for any computer genius ?
With Outlook Express, what would cause links that have been sent not to open up when you click on them? Is there a "security" setting that has to be set? The links work in DU and elsewhere but not in the received mail?? Any ideas?

2. Do you have the full version of Outlook?
I had the same problem when I had the trial version for some reason. When I got the full copy they seemed (the attachments) to work fine. But I can ask my husband, he is a computer geek. Outlook can be fickle.

3. Try this
Outlook after some Windows update was setup so that you could not open attachments. Some setting was changed to protect the user. You could change it back. Now this is assuming the poster is using the full Outlook version.

If it's Outlook; I suggest you try this out and see if it solves anything.

5. Do yourself a favor and switch to thunderbird
Computer "geniuses" won't be much help because they don't use Outlook Express (or Windows for that matter)

Download thunderbird from www.mozilla.com (the same place you need to download firefox right this second and I mean really right this second if you value your privacy, pocketbook, and computer security if you haven't already). It's like outlook express with two very important differences:

1) it works
2) it doesn't randomly infect your computer with porn popups, rampaging ninjas, and such things

6. Thanks all...
I think I have fixed it. I had to check plain text before the links would work from the "security" screen.
