I just heard smiling Tom Delay say, "The Hatred is Unbelievable".
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 07:59 AM by Philosoraptor
He was smiling like a possum eating shit when being interviewed by Candy Crawley and stated that he just couldn't believe the hatred leveled at him.

He also stated that he had absolutely no regrets.

Poor baby.

1. Hell we used to hang traitors and such.
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 07:43 AM by Hubert Flottz
Maybe we should go back to doing that.

21. Careful what you wish for
Remember, they're the ones in control and their definition of "traitor" is anyone to the left of Hitler

22. They'd do it if it meant knocking off people to win an election.
I put NOTHING past these people. Human life means nothing to them if that human is poor. That is why I say they are so damned much like the Nazis. We(the working class American) have become the Jews to this gang of Nazis.

2. I look forward to the day...
when he has his "Duke Cunningham" moment, when he is groveling like a sick animal who needs to be put out of it's misery.

He'll be crying like a baby begging everyone's forgiveness, pleading for mercy, praying to Jesus for salvation.

Yes, that will be a very good day indeed.

3. They should bust him for using the DHS for a political coup in
Texas. Taking away manpower that is paid for to protect America, from terrorists, to chase down political enemies, is helping the enemy, in a time of war.

5. See my post #4 below
Can we have a lottery? Will he crumble like a baby, or take his cone of protection with him to prison?

Perhaps he will make it to prison and crumble thereafter. Should the bets be in days, weeks, months, or years?

Remember he is a man of strong "faith."

He will walk...

18. Me too, but I doubt it...
Poor people do serious jail time, not connected people like Tommy. Tommy is a made man in the neocon organization, a capo.

23. So does Abramoff...
but it's looking like they're putting the big squeeze on him. I don't totally discount your opinion though, he could very well walk.

I like the fact that they're bringing his wife into the discussions though, this could be his achilles heel.

20. LOL
"a Duke Cunningham moment" (ie. public crocodile tears and apologies)...

Some of the most twisted don't do Duke Cunningham moments. Delay might just go down smiling his big grin all the way, like one of those punching bag clowns.

4. Denial
It becomes increasingly clear that many of the NeoCons are just plain terrified.

Assume if you will that denial is a defense mechanism against terror. (quick example, corner almost any animal until it feels threatened; it will attack).

Tom-Enemy-of-Democracy-DeLay (my pet name) is clearly in complete denial, hiding behind his fake religiosity without any minute acknowledgment of the corruption he wrought in Congress. He lives in a bubble of protection from the fruit of his own bad seed. Disgraced, indicted, forced out of office; but still plenty of self esteem. (Sound like anyone else you know of?)

He--along with all the Terrorism hawkers in BushCo--is terrified.

So the interesting question is, what are they terrified of?

HMMMMM. Could it be . . .

7. He brought corruption and the worst of partisanship.
He did his damndest to make sure there was no real democracy in Congress. He ruled with an iron fist and I compare his tactics to the worst of dictators. His was a "winner-take-all" approach, and even the Rethuglicans that voted agaist him felt his wrath. I'm looking forward to seeing his insincere religious ass begging for the people's forgiveness. I hope he bides his time and goes into lobbying and gets nailed like Abramoff, and that's only if he doesn't get sent to the slammer for his other crimes first.

10. If you plant poison ivy in the garden it's likely a garden of poison ivy
you'll get.

As for regrets, I have only one regarding DeLay, and that is that my admittedly severe remarks about him over the last several years were severe enough.

love to just stick in the same jail cell with a Catholic priest from the Boston area.
