Coulter has finally jumped the shark. Her 15 minutes are up.
Sorry for the mixed metaphors, but my most sincere wish for this creature is that every time she peeks out of her cesspool, she finds that she's nothing more than a punch line.

I believe that the recognition of that fact would become her permanent living hell.

As long as there's a new thread about her on DU every five minutes.

8. It's not okay with me
Maybe we should have a "pinata" lounge so a few other topics of importance could squeeze their way onto the forum. We're giving people like Coulter exactly what she wants -- our undivided attention. The only thing that will stop her is being IGNORED.

10. Undivided Attention?
That's quite a leap. A few thread trashing somebody does not mean people aren't doing other things. Lighten up..

Besides... the ignore thing, ISN'T WORKING!

3. Until she is dissed by right wingers she will continue.
When a few Republicans stand up and say she does not speak for them she will begin to fade away..

4. She had a pretty long 15 minutes!
but I agree her latest controversy won't win her any new fans and even some of her old ones may feel she has finally gone too far--but we shall see.

But the ugly truth is that there are lots of people in the Republican waters who love that Shark.

It's almost up to her adam's apple now. She's now on a par with Fred Phelps.

9. Her new book is #1 on Amazon.
I read a few pages of reviews and some did defend what she said about the "Jersey bitches", what she calls the wives that are part of the recent controversy.

She is horrid but has supporters. That's what is even sicker.

Yeah, poor Ann, she just can't get a break can she? Wonder if you'd feel the same about Annie's 'right to retaliate' had it been your loved one killed.

17. Does that include the two 9/11 widows that made appearances
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 09:49 AM by Sydnie
with blivet** on the campaign trail? Does that include the little girl who lost her mother on 9/11 that made that sick appeal for voters to support blivet** in a campaign ad?

How about them? Seems Ann forgot to mention them, didn't she?

edit - typo

18. "Using loved ones death as a way to promote a candidate"
Didn't hear you dittoheads complaining about this one:

"Widow of co-pilot killed in 9-11 attacks describes her support for Bush’s re-election.
The tragedy that befell her family on that terrible day, she said, is at the "heart of why I’m voting for George Bush," whom she characterized as a man of "character, courage and compassion."

12. Many so-called reviews are generated by right wing "Think Tanks,"
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 09:29 AM by Cyrano
such as The Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute. Entities such as this exist for the purpose of spreading wingnut propaganda, supplying a steady stream of talking heads to "news" shows, and creating Karl Rove clones who spend all of their time figuring out new and different ways of screwing the rest of us.

Writing book reviews and getting those reviews into print is also one of their missions.

Further, much Republican money is often spent on bulk purchases of books to catapult them onto the best seller lists.

20. Look for the bulk buy icon.
That is the only way her books move at all. Bulk buys and then give them away if yoiu donate to some right wing cause.

13. Nope. she panders to her side just as Franken panders to his side.
This is not to say Coulter and Franken are the same but, does Al get paid for his books?
Both, make money off of selling books which they know certain groups are going to buy.

21. Excuse me, they are nothing alike.
Honestly, how can you even make that comparison?

Show me an instance where Franken has attacked widows and children who have lost their parents or parents who have lost their child.

I understand that you are trying to say that they pander to the extremes, but Coulter is no Franken.

She is fucking evil.

22. Does Mr. Franken make money off of his book sales?
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 10:17 AM by genie_weenie
Al has an audience which will buy his books. Coulter has an audience will buy her books.

At no time did I comment on the quaility or the content of the books themselves.

I agree Coulter is a very mean and low person. Al Franken is not.
