Al Gore on Leno last night - pic>>>
This is the only picture I have seen so far...

AP - Fri Jun 9, 1:32 AM ET Former Vice President Al Gore, left, stopped by 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' to discuss his box-office hit 'An Inconvenient Truth,' the documentary that chronicles his crusade to stop global warming Thursday June 8, 2006. When asked by Jay what it feels like to be treated like a movie star, Gore joked that he's currently in a feud with Lindsay Lohan. Jay also asked whether the film's success has garnered him any movie offers. Gore replied, 'I have had offers. But, frankly Jay, when you refuse to do nude scenes it really cuts down your opportunities.' And finally, Jay asked the former Vice President whether he will run for President again. Gore responded, 'I do not have plans to be a candidate again. I am involved in a kind of campaign, and it's not for a candidacy--it's for a cause.' (AP Photo/NBC)

1. If he really doesn't run for Prez, maybe he should become
a standup comic.

3. Okay, which network would put him on?
Best bet might be CBS . . . if they don't bow to pressure, like they did with Rather and the "Reagans" film . . .

ABC? Owned by Disney? Only if they are allowed to use the "animatronic" Gore, instead of the human . . . and they're the ones who decide to kill off gays . . .

NBC? General Electric, the war contractor? uhhhhhhh . . .

Need I even bother reminding you of the propaganda network?

Even if they did put him on, they'd probably bump him around so much like a bad sitcom they try to attach to the hit comedy lead-in . . .

6. Me too. He and Russ Feingold would make a strong ticket for us
That would be my dream team. A Wes Clark as Secretary of State, John Edwards as Attorney General and we could clean this mess up pretty damn quick. Give the Dem's subpoena power and we will learn the truth

4. I Think Al Gore is Terrific.
I'm sure he'd save our country and be one of the greatest President's in History (which is literally infinitely better than our current so-called President--who is himself, quite literally far worse than the worst President in History). Al Gore would be an honest leader who pursues the truth and makes every effort to make the best possible decisions for our future. My admiration is considerable, just as my outrage that we've been deprived of his Presidency.

That said, I have a strange, fuzzy little 'sense' that his health either is facing some difficulty or that it may if he doesn't focus on it. It's certainly not based on any facts, and nothing has been reported on it--and he may be so robust that even if he had some problems he'd come through without problem... it's just a suspicion raised by the occasional unflattering photo (which everybody, even models have plenty of) that shows swelling of his neck, or evidence of excess weight (not that just being overweight necessarily means problems (if it did, I'd be in trouble--so would Jay Leno, in the photo above)).

I guess I'm just wishing that some loyal Democrat who's a personal trainer with a bent for health, diet and exercise, who also happens to have significant free time could be funded, at least initially, by some Democratic organization, to offer his services to Al--as a gesture from concerned American Democrats! Just the offer might make enough of an impact on him by showing how much we care that he takes care of his health (for his environmental and alternate Democratic activities if not for a future run for President) to get him (or Tipper) to help tear him away from his activities long enough to ensure his continued/improved health (again, just general health/weight since there is no known imminent health problem). It'd be great to see him fit and trim anyway.

Please tell me in a kind/gentle way that I've got nothing to worry about; that he exercises regularly and his health and weight (and blood pressure, etc) are all good. I don't like feeling concerned and not knowing whether there's anything to it as well as being helpless to make a difference anyway. It's hopeful, at least, that I seem to be the only one with such odd notions anyway...

7. Jay told him he also had held doubts about Global Warming
He then told him after seeing the movie he was convinced it was indeed a very real concern. He recommened that everyone see the movie and I don't think he was just being polite either. Gore was emphatic that "There is no doubt" The Science is as sound as any Science on any other issue.

9. I love Gore's mantra of "the debate is over"
That needs to be repeated to silence the Repubs who call it junk science.
