CNN gets rare up-close look at Predator drones
This is of special interest to me because my cousin is the chief engineer for the Predator program.

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (CNN) -- -- As I stood talking into a camera on a remote airstrip in Kandahar, a Predator drone circled the sky, putting me into its sights with its high-precision cameras -- and just a trigger away from being turned into the charred remains of a Hellfire missile.

3. I'm talking about the technology, not the current application.
Oh, and since you were the first to mention Hitler, you lose.

:)

4. Yeah, Bush really isn't like Hitler.
He's more Charles Manson to the 20,000 power.

6. Except that Charlie Manson could speak without tripping over
his own tongue.

He is also more talented that Shrub.

But, then again, most of the human race are better orators and more talented than Shrub, so that's not saying much.

7. To bad the MSM thinks that rule does not apply to Rumsfeld
and others in the Bush administration.

8. Well, Hitler would have loved computers and you're using one, aren't you?
Technology is not its applications. To imply that a certain technology would have been popular with one of the world's greatest villians is to associate the technology with such evil uses. But it is logically false, there is no actual relationship between the two.

9. Would have loved? They did love them, I suspect. Those Dehomag's are

toys by our standards now, but they were used pretty effectively in their day. You can look it up on the web.

10. Does no one find the image of a journalist being targeted a bit disturbing
Seeing the number of journalists killed in this illegal war to date?

Oh, but wait, Brent's not really a journalist is he?

11. No, he pretty much blew his load all over the drone
Must be fun to play a video game that actually kills real people.

12. Civilian version coming now to a city near you
<http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/5051142.stm>

LA is starting to employ drones, and before long, I imagine most major cities will also. Right now it would only be for surveillance, but I'm willing to bet that before too long they'll start building drones that can drop nets, gas, and other nasty shit.
