You don't have to be a willing sexual partner to be infected with HPV, and once infected, the vax may not work to prevent cervical cancer. Therefore, if we know that one in three women are raped in their lifetime, then the odds will favor getting the vax to prevent infection by HPV from a rapist.

BTW, I know of a family that is wonderful, kind, and deeply religious that is having a difficult time with their fourteen year old daughter. The mom is convinced she has been sexually active with her one boyfriend, but the father is still in denial about it. I think the mom is smart enough to understand that her daughter will need this vax, and sooner rather than later.
