So my son who works for an mega militay industrial complex reports....
Edited on Sat Jun-10-06 07:08 PM by elfin
At a group meeting with the CEO at guy said that while they are encouraged by China to do business and the USA is a problem --- "Our government seems to be worried about gays."

Astounding - given the company which I will not name for the time being - but you can surmise it is a biggie and heretofore reliably in the Rethug camp.

1. So....this company CEO is saying that there are important
things going on in the world....and all this administration can think about is what people do in privacy of their own bedroom..good for the CEO it will take companies like this one to take the lead.....

4. Turns out wedge issues are bad for business?
If so, then it's another backfire on the tactics of Rovian distraction, somewhat like immigration has proven to be.

I just love watching the always shaky Repug coalition btw big biz and joe six-pack come apart.

5. This is what drives me nuts about the Dem leadership
either they are stupid, lazy or other....they need to get some wiz kids in their to help them exploit the main weakness of this * cabal....they only think about immediate gain....they have never thought about long term repurcusions of their actions....

For the * cabal...every action has a violent reaction (usually failure)....

6. Well I'm 100% w/ you on that sentiment, madam
It's almost as if there was some kind of backroom deal because it's such an obvious weakness to exploit. Instead, for the most part we get milquetoast and tepid cups of opposition party tea.

Being from Vermont, I wish we had a hundred Bernie's and Howard's out there taking some risks and making some noise. I am encouraged, though, by some Dem voices, such as Murtha's.
