Pravda thinks the U.S. is falling apart (I mean *really* falling apart)
http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/81616-crisis-0

This article weaves together quite a tale.

Russian Intelligence Analysts are reporting that the ongoing constitutional crisis that has erupted in the United States has taken a decidedly deadly turn as counter-coup forces attempting to block access to the American capitol engaged in a brief gun battle with US Army Special Forces leaving at least 3 dead.

Of this currently unfolding event we can read as reported by England’s Times Online News Service in their article titled "US Capitol Sealed Off After Gunshots Heard," and which says:

"Police sealed off part of Capitol Hill today after reports that gunshots had been heard in the garage of a House of Representatives office building. The shots were heard in the garage level of the Rayburn Building, which houses offices of members of the US House of Representatives. Bill Pickle, the Senate Sergeant at Arms, told Reuters: "We have been told by staff of shots fired and the smell of smoke in the lobby of the Rayburn House building ."

Russian Intelligence reports further state that the United States Army has activated for this event their 4th Psychological Operations Group / Task Organization and which was the US military unit that coordinated the mis/disinformation campaign during the events of September 11, 2001 to such great effect.

The causes behind this latest escalation between the coup and counter-coup forces in the United States stem from the American President's attempt to wrest total control of his country from both its elected representatives and its judiciary, and as we can read as reported by Italy’s Bellaciao News Service in their article titled "Bush Asserting Powers Accrued By Hitler,"...

Yes, a lot of things are going badly here, but "Russia Intelligence" thinks we are experiencing an ongoing coup and counter-coup.

Is this 1) a kind of psy-ops Russia is using against us, or 2) a view into what's happening here that our media has blocked us from seeing, or 3) ridiculous paranoid nonsense?

1. when you consider
what this admin is capable of - and the bs they tell msm to feed us, which they then do - then - well - let's just say, it's not beyond the realm of possibility, now is it?

2. Well, this is the story that was reported the other week...
...about some jumpy Rayburn Building occupants saying they'd heard gunshots when what they actually heard was a jackhammer from a nearby construction site. Coup or construction work? Who knows for sure?

It does sound like Pravda is relishing a return to cold-war era anti-US propaganda. Things are pretty bad here at the moment but I don't think we're quite at the 'fighting in the streets' stage yet. After this November, though, who knows.

3. it's not Psy-Ops but tin foil from the lunatic fringe

the same ones that say Napaleon has been kept artificially alive and is secretly running the
White House. Every 3 months, they have a story about a shoot out usually based on an actual
event. They posted 1 about the scare in DC, it was not a coup, there were a lot of hot
stranded people, who were putting up signs send in pizzas and then they were allowed to leave.
It was a scare caused by pipes rattling in a truck in an underground parking garage. I saw
the crew laughing about it on Tv. This was then blown into a Rambo fantasy by fringe bloggers and now this. There was no gun smoke in the Rayburn Building. I was down in DC at the time,
this is baloney.

Edited on Sat Jun-10-06 10:50 PM by tocqueville
of course there wasn't any "coup attempt", because if it was, it was pretty amateurish. The reasons for the US collapse will be of ECONOMICAL nature, exactly as for the Soviet Union. THEN we will see coup attempts....

5. Pravda=Fox News
both are propaganda mouthpieces

Pravda seems a little farther out there, but to the world, Fox sounds totally insane

we all need to be de-briefed from our brainwashing I'm afraid

but Pravda is way out there

they reported prior to the Iraq invasion that we were going in because Saddam had a captured UFO that we wanted.

Hell, maybe they are right?

6. a soviet-era slogan....
.... I have heard, was "There is no truth in Pravda and no news in Isvestia" (which was irony of the darkest Russian kind, since "Pravda" literally means "Truth" and "Isvestia" is literally "News").

9. While this tale does seem a little exaggerated,
I'm not going to discount it completely.

~Where there's smoke, there's fire~

Don't forget, Russia knew well in advance that Bin Laden was going to strike in the US. They repeated warned Washington, but it fell on deaf ears. I think they even knew which week this "spectacular event" was going to happen.

How do we know there isn't a coup being planned? I've read that all kinds of things are happening right now, under the surface.

I'm going to make a mental note of this 'update' and wait to see if anything happens:smoke:

10. agreed....
...."coup and counter-coup forces in the United States"....

....I too have been looking for evidence of counter-coup constitutional-patriots in the defense and intellegence communities resisting the neocon-overthrow of our government....

....until, if or when, this should break-out into the undeniable open, all we'll ever have to go on is heresy and circumstantial evidence....

11. 7 years ago I'd have called this post "tinfoily"
Now, however, it could well be. The essence of catapulting propagandea is to mix falsehoods with truth, and add details to lend credibility. They have the infrastructure -the former US media.

13. would we?
Did the common german people know that there was an organized
domestic opposition to hitler before he went down?

Part of "our" propaganda infrastructure is to maintain the illusion
of the coup, and more power to anyone who overthrows the monarchy.

Would they tell DU in advance. Did the plotters against hitler
who missed him with that bomb tell any journalists in advance?
I doubt we'd know anything, as a counter-coup would probably be
some very serious military folks who are trying to defend the
constitution like they've thus far failed to do.

14. Oh yes, "Pravda? Or "Sorcha Faal"?
Hmmm. 06.06.2006; no source given by Pravda; signed by one "Jack Duggan" at end of article.

But this appears to be, verbatim, a 27 May 06 "Sorcha Faal" piece from the "WhatDoesItMean" weirdness, though sometimes entertaining and occasionally of interest, site, as we can see by referring here: http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index910.htm

(The site does have useful daily world newslink lists, though (scroll down)).

Pravda, Pravda, your knickers are showing; your reputation long lost. Or is this "Jack Duggan" in fact the one and the same (and quite unique) "Sorcha Faal"?

How's that not a coup? Because "it can't happen here"?

18. It will be serious when
W declares martial law. Only then will people realize that it's to late, and that the time to intervene was during the build-up to it - which is now.

16. Oh good Lord, if you can't figure out this "Pravda" article is BS...

You need to go take the special I.Q. test they made for Georgie boy. The authors of this piece have been smoking some strong shit. I didn't even know they could grow that kind of stuff over there in Russia, you know with it being cold and all.

I am beginning to get worried about Russia. When Paul McCartney went to Russia and sang, "Back in The USSR," it wasn't a policy recommendation for them. YIKES! I think we may see another flair-up in the Cold War, partially due to the neo-cons wanting one, and the fact that the man in control of Russia is a former KGB guy. They are Germany between WWI and WWII. People should have done everything in their power to make Russia a truly democratic place, I guess our leaders never learn from history, do they?

I could believe our news media had been infiltrated, I could believe this story, but only if there were other news reports from other nation's media on the internet. They could censoring that, but the question is why they would let this through, and not the others?

The only psy-ops going on here is the Russian governments.
