Where can I find a good weather record of normal temps and precipitation?
Edited on Sun Jun-11-06 01:40 AM by blonndee
We've had a horrible drought here and it's way hotter than what I remember from just two years ago. I know that the normal temp for today, according to the local station is 86, but today was 101. It's barely the first week of June, for godssakes! We're also 6" below normal precipitation.

I've heard about similarly strange weather elsewhere (droughts in normally damp places, flood in normally dry places), but would like to see some sort of local AND national trending if possible, but can't find a good source. Any help would be appreciated!

Edited: guess it's the SECOND week of June, not the first. Goes by so fast, dontcha know!

1. Try the weather channel site. I seem to recall finding something there.
But maybe someone will have a better idea?

3. I'll try weather channel again.
I may have been a bit impatient. I find the weather channel web site not very user-friendly and tend to give up quickly there, but it may be worth another try! Thanks!

4. Thanks, never heard of the navy weather website
I'll check that for sure. Being in tornado alley, I like to know all the good weather web sites!

5. I have to check weather a lot for my work.
I always use the wunderground for close by, and the us gov for more complex things. I'm pretty sure it is the navy. google weather and us navy and see what you get.

6. National Weather Service

National Weather Service is what I use. Our region's office is in Norman.
NWS is where wunderground gets their info. So you might as well skip the middleman & go to NWS.

The link above is for OKC . Once there you can check other areas by changing the location. I just happen to keep that one in my toolbar.

7. Oklahoma Water Resources Board
is where I go for drought monitoring.

Once there, you can also check the national drought monitor site.

8. I live in tornado alley too, and I use NOAA.
I have a SAME radio and monitor NOAA's website because I like to see what's coming my way BEFORE the COWS sirens go off.

Plus they have so much information, you could get lost just surfing their site.

10. We're probably getting all your rain over here in Maine.
It's been raining at least 5 days a week for a month now it seems.
