Poll question: Curious why Hilary didn't go to KOS
convention when all other 2008 candidates did including Warner, Bill Richardson & Wesley Clark?

1. I voted "slap in the face" but....
It also could be that she is just too out of touch.

It was really interesting to see Barbara Boxer there. She comes from the same basic mold as Hillary, but she has woken up in the last few years. She seems to "get it" and she expressed great appreciation for the message and efforts of those who are fed up with the business-as-usual aspects of the democratic Party.

8. I'm beginning to wish she'd run for the nomination
She seems both aware and pragmatic and gutsy enough to take the kind of stands we need.

2. She knew she would be roundly criticized.
Because few really love her, even though many (such as myself) tolerate her.

4. Have you read Crashing The Gate?
That book makes it very clear why she wasn't there. I doubt very much they invited her.

7. NOT yet!
She is out of touch with the left activists and this will cost her.

10. Yearly Kos was an event for LIBERALS not
Republican lite people and their supporters.

She can go to the DLC convention.

14. Can someone please tell me about these other people @ YK?
Edwards?
Clark?
Gore?
Feingold?
Dschle?
Biden?
(who else am I missing?)

I'm just curious if Clinton is (close to) the only candidate not showing, of if she's just being picked on for reasons that the OP refuses to say out loud.

15. She's a Repub with a D label, wouldn't be comfortable with real LIBERALS
She does not want to be seen rubbing elbows with the like, however its not a problem to be chummy with Frist.

16. This just goes to show how fucking stupid people can be.
She didn't go, because she is not running. Why do so many want to play into the hands of the repukes?

18. She believes she doesn't need liberal activists.
She has enough corporate money and name recognition to run from the middle in the primary. She will expect her husbands popularity to carry her with liberals, while ignoring them. She's too big for this kind of thing and won't pander to liberals with statements that will be read back to her later by a reporter.

19. It's not a big secret that she's vilified by liberal bloggers.
And some liberals/progressives read and swear by blogs as if they were gospel rather than opinion. It just makes sense for her to stay clear of events where she is loathed.

22. we're full of ourselves
I hope we all get book contracts, but the common voter, the presidency
and the majority she needs to win in the machine don't come from us uppity slaves.
The blog world may be the gateway to righteousness, the gateway to sainthood and
progressive perfection, but it is not a centrist republican that wants nothing
from the democrats except their economic management.
