2006 as Murtha vs. Bush
I wonder, did the subject of Murtha declaring his intention to run for Majority Leader come up on any of the Sunday pundit shows this morning?

When I heard it, it shocked me and I didn't know what to make of it.

But I think I know what this is about. I think it's related to that thing about the democrats "nationalizing" the 2006 congressional election to make it a referendum on Bush.

I think it's about making the 2006 elections into more of a presidential election. A single democratic figure to square off against Bush.

When you go to the polls in 2006, who do you vote for, Murtha or Bush?

1. I didn't catch the Sunday news shows this a.m.
I do think you have a point about nationalizing the 2006 election. Murtha is a strong figure for the Democratic party to have in a leadership position.

I'll definitely be voting for Murtha in 2006 because he is my Congressman! ;)
