3. That idiot plays on the false assumptions that most Americans make.
That is: palm trees = paradise. No matter what your situation if you are in the tropics that should solve all of your troubles just by the mere fact that the climate is pleasurable. It also goes along with the false notions that living on a tropical island is easy and you need not exert yourself to survive. That is bullshit, ask some of the sugar industry workers/slaves how they feel about those assumptions. It is a falsehood and Rush is exploiting his listenership's lack of education and narrow world view, but hey, what else is new?
