5. Apparently the US has been through a situation similar to this in the
past. John Rothman on KGO radio had an author on his program VERY EARLY Sun AM EST. His book was about Calvin Coolidge, and all the similarities to today. Coolidge was elected by a very controversial vote in "FLORIDA"!

By the time he was close to leaving office, his ratings were in the low 20's and people were saying thinks like "Just give me the chance to stab him in the eye!"

I can't recall all the details they spoke about. I was 4AM here, and I was not very wide awake! But the similarities were astonishing!!!!!

FWIW, the Country did survive, and we'll survive Shrub too.

under the 25th amendment to the constitution, article 4


4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
