Robert Shrum: "Be Democrats — for a change."

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/TheNote/story?id=156238

<snip>

In the blurb section of Sunday's Washington Post Opinion section, Robert Shrum — advisor to former VPOTUS Al Gore and Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) during their presidential campaigns — says, "The war in Iraq is over except for the dying. Campaign for a date to bring our forces home. Speak for Americans on big issues like gas prices, heatlh care, the environment and alternative energy. Don't be afraid to say we're for the people, not the powerful. Be Democrats — for a change."

1. Is this the same Bob Shrum that advised Kerry to ignore the Swift Boaters?

Isn't he part of the reason that Democats are labled as weak "Flip-Floppers" in the first place?

No offense to Bob Shrum - and I'm not saying that his ideas are without merit - but I'll be more likely to listen to his advice to the Democrats once he actually helps WIN a Campaign.

4. Do you perhaps have a link which confirms this allegation? Think both
Gore and Kerry did win--if all the votes had been counted in Florida for Gore and in Ohio for Kerry.

I'm with Shrum all the way when he says, "Be Democrats for a change." I could not agree more.

5. Wasn't he also the mastermind behind Carter's 1980 campaign?
I don't disagree with what he's saying, but I'd rather not hear it from him. It's over buddy. Retire, or become a Fox News democrat whore like that other failure, Susan Estrich.
