W: "Good Week in Iraq"-What are they up to at Camp David I wonder?

ASSOCIATED PRESS
President Bush was celebrating "a good week for the cause of freedom" with the killing of terrorist Abu Musab Zarqawi and the completion of Baghdad's government, as he huddled with advisers.
"We will determine how to best deploy America's resources in Iraq and achieve our shared goal of an Iraq that can govern itself, sustain itself and defend itself," Mr. Bush said yesterday in his weekly radio address. "There's still difficult work ahead in Iraq. Yet this week, the ideology of terror has suffered a severe blow."
The president was spending the weekend at Camp David preparing for extended meetings there this week on Iraq after he conferred Friday at the presidential retreat with Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, a staunch ally.
Tomorrow, Mr. Bush is gathering his top national security advisers, including military commanders reporting from the field in Iraq, and members of his Cabinet. They will hold two long sessions, broken up by a lunch featuring outside specialists and capped off by dinner. On Tuesday, the president and his team are holding a joint Cabinet meeting of sorts, talking via video conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

1. Thanks, I was about to ask the same thing. Plus,
So, they are having "extended meetings" (Wow, georgie, I am so impressed with your work ethic) about what to do in Iraq.

I have this nagging question:

WHAT THE FUCK TOOK YOU SO BLOODY LONG, YOU ASS?

The ideology of terra suffered a severe blow? What disneyland-based planet do you live in, anyway?

2. They're trying to capitalize on the death of Al-Zarqawi by . . .

Appearing to work the Iraq war issue like grown-up administrations do. Meetings at Camp David, press briefings, aides running around collating the input of the best and the brightest . . . just like a real president would do.

They expect a bump in the polls from this (especially the "strong leader" component), and want to leverage that bump into a genuine leap.

Good luck, Georgie.

3. Probably working on that whole "Perception' thingy.
It's not that everybody hates the war and wants it to stop, it's just a matter of how to make folks perceive it "their" way, and that scares me.
