Anyone here listen to The Lionel Show?

I catch Lionel maybe two to three nights a week. I love how he rails on the Bush Administration, Ann Coulter, Rumsfeld, the Christian Right, etc...

He's really sardonic and wicked in his barbs against him, and he's ruthless to vapid Resmuglicans who call in to argue with him when they have no basis for their opinion other than the GOP talking points.

Just wondering...I listen to him, think he's a scream to listen to, but never hear anyone talking about him or his show. I can't be the only DUer listening?

Lionel gets some great regular callers. He's come a very long way since he supported the war and now is dead set against it. And he's doing his best to turn his wingnut listeners around.

I wish he had an archive since he's on at the same time as Malloy. Lionel's attorney's point of view can be valuable dissecting different events.

2. It looks like they just started PodCasting Lionel's shows!

I just noticed it when I went to his site to post it in my inital post. Click on the link to his site in my original post, then click on the link on his site mentioning the podcasts, which will take you to WOR's archive of programs. I was glad to see this as I have to be up early in the AM and can't listen as long as I'd like to.

5. Podcasts are great news!

Thanks for the word. I can do without his shows about how someone stole his soda from the fridge at work and other such topics. My only interest is when he talks politics. Oh, and okay, his food shows. Those are great and every once in a while he diverges into some non politcal topics that pass muster.

He is great on bashin Bush. He can be a bit short sighted sometimes. He falls victim to msm talking points on dems. I was totally put off when he repeated and backed up the republican smear points on Cindy Sheehan. I think it was due to ignorance. But when he knows the truth on something he is great. He can be ruff on callers like Randi. But interesting.

6. At least WOR has now started podcasting

With weekend radio being kind of slow during the day, I think grazing Lionel's podcasts and being able to scroll past the advertsing and news will be terrific.
