8. A Fish Fry much needed by the people.

Alas, while it's needed, it's exceedingly unlikely. Of course, even if we did have it--we'd need to find a place to put the toxic results (for these fish are so polluted with toxic corruption, even after frying they'd be poisonous). A couple of perfect repositories would be Abu Ghraib or Guantanamo Bay--once we've released their current contents.

But the wheels of justice for Valerie Plame grind slowly. I feel bad for her. We should all hope that she gets justice some day. We are not the ones really hurt by this leak. We all drool over the fact that maybe someone in this administration will get taken down, but we should not forget that it is Valerie Plame who was hurt. I hope Fitzy finds justice for her. I can't wait for her book to come out this fall. That should be really interesting before the elections.

Scooter's transgressions surely weren't done in isolation. His boss could still be the target of Fitzgerald's investigation.

Our understandable revulsion at Karl Rove going free might be less the point than Fitz's other aims, which may yet vindicate our take.

This game's not over yet.

7. We have no idea what's going on, only Fitzpatrick and his close staffers

know. Fitzpatrick is going to do things when he's ready to do them, not with any sense of urgency pressed upon him from the outside world. He is quite obviously not finished with his investigation yet, so there must be more to it than we know.

We just have to be patient and let him go through the process necessary to determine what happened, and who was involved. I believe it is bigger than we think, and that we've only touched the tip of the iceberg at this point.

What ever happened to justice? If any of us had committed this offense, we'd be in jail right now. They wouldn't be willing to let us go if we ratted out someone else, no matter how big.

Then he will just claim that he and W declassified it. So no crime was committed - technically. But outing a CIA agent should still be treason, even if they did it 'legally'. All of these bastards will walk except for Libby. He'll probably get a slap on the wrist, or at least a pardon.
