Has anyone seen Luskin's "letter" from Fitz yet?
Seems like Luskin would at least put that out as proof or a redacted version.

Firedoglake and others are asking this same question.

on a side question how many people are going to be consumed with this today?

I know I will - concentrating on work is going to be very hard.

Peace

2. Just stop for one minute and take a breath. Do you really think
LUSKN IS STUPID?!!??!!???!!!!

Boys and girls, it is time to close the book and put it back on the table.

It is not a fairy tale, but an evil joke. There is no fitzmas, or easter bunny, or tooth fairy.

9. I am not NAIVE enough to take Luskin's hype at face value
Why won't fitz's office comment on Rove's legal status?

I have no idea what is going to happen to Karl Rove. All I know is that this case isn't over until the Fitzgerald sings.

3. Why should he put it out there? To prove to the few people who bought
the silly story published by a man of questionable standards at best?? Puleese, like he gives a shit about those people. All the better for him NOT to put it out there and let us go after each other's throats, speculating and going on with conspiracy theories that have no merit...

Ask yourself THIS question: Why the HELL would he SAY he got a letter from Fitz if he didn't? That's silly.

I think I'm going to be sick with all this spinning Luskin's doing

http://www.firedoglake.com/2006/06/13/dodging-cipa-graymail-bulletsand-other-legal-notes

From Christy Hardin Smith at firedoglake:

First, the NYTimes article from David Johnston this morning. (And a hat tip to Holden for the heads up on the article.) If Luskin is coming out and saying publicly that they got a letter from Pat Fitzgerald which says that Rove will not be charged, there are two things that I want to see and know: (1) what does the letter actually say, word for word; and (2) does it say something along the lines of "Please thank Karl for his cooperation in this matter."
And there's more...
... to spin this as the case being over is laziness on the part of David Johnston — and the media writ large, frankly — who have never dug into this case to realize that the players were larger than the Libby and Rove narrative frame that the corporate media types have conveniently used throughout the investigation. And that the be all and end all of the case was not the ultimate criminal charges, but the exposure of the smarmy underbelly of the Bush Administration and their standard MO of attacking, with a vengeance, anyone who dares to question them — even when those questions are not only appropriate but also expose them in a lie.

In a statement, Mr. Luskin said, "On June 12, 2006, Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald formally advised us that he does not anticipate seeking charges against Karl Rove."
