LEE COUNTY: Most people agree that the way you decorate your home says a lot about you. But many people don’t know that your décor can potentially make you fat. But you can create an atmosphere of healthy eating so your home does not sabotage your diet.
One of the influences your home may have on your eating habits is as simple as the color scheme. Colors such as reds, yellows, and oranges are the familiar colors of fast food restaurants and may entice you to eat.
"Want to intensify the appetite, from a business perspective you understand that, but that's the challenge to get people to eat healthy, take it upon themselves to change their habits," said culinary artist Chef Martin Murphy of Robb and Stuckey, Casual Living Outdoors.
Changing eating habits can start with the home. Begin by decorating your home with cool colors such as blues and greens which are shown to suppress your appetite.
