A day of angst. Over a month to heal?
Some may be in shock over the Rove news today.

Some may still be in denial.

Some, like myself, are relieved but not surprised.

I think we're all disappointed, as I can't imagine a DU'er that wouldn't love to see Rove doing the perp walk in leg irons.

But as OldLeftieLawyer pointed out, there was never any way Rove was going to be indicted for outing Plame under that law as written. No one will be.

I never expected he would be. But I was hoping Fitz might nail Rove for perjury. That is now my source of disappointment.

I am relieved that except for those still in denial and still angry about the Leopold story, and who still resent those of us who doubted it all along, perhaps DU can now "move on" to more constructive pursuits. The "see" part of "wait and see" has been seen.

Hopefully, within a month or so even those embittered by all this can join the rest of us in redirecting our energies to more constructive pursuits, and DU will experience a healing.

1. Anyone on either side of this chimerical debate
who needs a month to heal, needs professional help.

2. I look at it this way...
Rove has had to spend lots of money on expensive D.C. lawyers and had to spend lots of time weaseling his way out of this. His life can't have been very pleasant over these past 6 months.

A crook is still a crook. His day will come.

3. How is believing the news today any better than believing
TO a month ago?

They can't get their story straight... there's a letter, there is no letter...

I don't believe anyone but Fitz.

Carry on.
