Malkin On Detainee Suicides: ‘Boo-Freakin-Hoo’

Yesterday on Fox News, Michelle Malkin mocked the suicides of three Guantanamo Bay detainees. Her reaction was so out-of-line that even O’Reilly took exception

MALKIN: And really, the reaction to the suicides should be, “Boo-freakin-hoo.”

O’REILLY: Well, I don’t know about that. I don’t want anybody, you know, killing themselves, but I do believe it was a political statement. Anyway —

MALKIN: Exactly.

O’REILLY: If I were in Guantanamo Bay, and I couldn’t get out — and these guys will never get out, believe me — I might commit suicide too.

Ask Malkin if SHE were in GITMO, would she be perturbed?

And it doesn't matter that "she's not a terrorist". Neither are some (by now, maybe most, or all) of the people in GITMO. They're just there, and they're not being let out.

Gitmo is like Club Med in Cuba.

I still remember thrilling words from Kennedy. Heck, even Reagan's speaches were well read. Nixon would look at today's reality and puke a lung out, because these neocons are destroying our country. Actually, Nixon would be considered a lunatic liberal. EPA? Social Security reform? Negotiating in good faith with two sworn enemies? (SALT w/ USSR and China) Can you imagine what Faux news would make of Nixonian foreign policy today?

not to mention that those enemies posed a far greater danger to the US. Subs, tanks, planes, missiles are far more a threat than a bunch of stone throwers who happen upon box cutters and AK 47s.

But they are secure in the knowledge that the people they offend would never treat them in the same manner as they would like to treat nine-tenths of humanity. The concept of "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" doesn't register at all with the self-perceived perfect.

She may be one of them Moselman terra-ists! No need for a trial, just put her away.

Malkin is like Pierce Bush without the gravitas.

She should know better then make gross statements like that! Suicide is nothing to mock at! Would she make such a statement if they were a loved one? No, she would be blaming the liberals because everything is "our" fault! :sarcasm:

I suspect she knows of no such individual. In that case, the question is irrelevant.

She's going to have to work harder than that if she wants to be the next Ann Coulter. I'm behind her all the way because she's much better looking, but she's going to have to come up with better than that.
