Disappointment, unrejected, embraces me
Edited on Tue Jun-13-06 06:36 PM by kpete

Disappointment, unrejected, embraces me
Its touch is cool, softly crystalline, sweetly sobering
Is it what I want?
That's the wrong question.
Disappointment's gift is rooted not in questions
But in something closer to home than answers
Disappointment bleeds into the warped frames of our dreams
Interrupting our intoxication, disrobing our trance
The torn fabric is not something to repair
But to see with undreaming eyes
Eyes for which
Disappointment is not disappointing

1. perfect nirvana patiently waiting
Edited on Tue Jun-13-06 06:38 PM by sweetheart

A perfect nirvana patiently waiting,
ancient withness to a perfect dream,
crying sadly as death does the taking,
observe the undoing at the hidden seam.

Again a satori immaculately taking,
bore withness to a perfect team,
won without playing joyfully staking,
claim to the truth in this lurid dream.

What knows without saying, already here,
hears without moving though they scream,
hears the voice quaking pretending sincere,
perfectly moving our love it deem.
Wonders not wonders nor moves at all,
falls without falling, all is not all.

6. Thank you
I wouldn't have written it without your inspiration.

Please, you are invited to contribute to this:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=user&saz=bookmark

(all who want to, on DU, are welcome, its an open thread)

My poetry gets too heavy when i write
too much on DU, as much as writing on DU has refined my
ability to write nonoffensive copy (as offending as i've
been to folks here in past) its refined rough edges in what i thought
about myself and the world to meet some of the wise minds and
persons in our world, represented well at DU.

As well, just expressing deeply held sentiments that i thought were "mine"
and to see them spoken heartfelt by others here and realizeing we all
really do agree about a lot of things, that despite the state of the
world appearances, a really wise group of smart and funny people is
out there, really classy and deep people.. how cool.

Its the least i can do, to smallrunprint anyone who wants to incude an essay.

I don't know if i'll be able to afford a colour printrun, so images may
be off the table... and then i am still working on an essay of my "journey
to the underground." and a coupla poems.. maybe this one. :-)

I'm sorry for the divisive harping today, Henry rollin's video
made my day, if you've not seen it yet.

3. That's a good Munch painting, no? The color, shapes, distance
and what appears to be the shadow figure on the sand. Seems a good rendition of it's name, "Melancholy". Thanks for the post.

9. I could use summa that!!!
That looks right tropical, a multi-coloured large drink with huge umbrella...

In 2008, we must have a DU tropical resort bash, Hawaii would be a good place,
like Maui, and we can chill by the beach and just be tanned drunk people who
giggle a lot. (or gifted of the pakalolo breath)!!

12. I could go for that!
I love Hawaii, never been to Maui so I would love the chance to get a little sun and a lot of Pina Colada with some DU pals. It sounds just right to me.

10. Thanks for all your hard work keeping us informed!
It hasn't gone unnoticed. These are dark times, but I really think we will prevail. One thing about this gang, there are plenty of twists and turns. We haven't heard the end of this.:)
