It's that simple.

Thats how these mutherfuckers operate.

I don't really have a source for that. Just my gut.

1. Not any crazier then 68% of Americans believing Saddam was
responsible for 911. In Bush's America, just say it enough times for it to become true and it will!

2. I have no idea if you're serious, but really doubt this theory.
And it's not because I don't have a tinfoil hat, either. I think Karl rolled & Fitz needs him to nail Libby. For Fitz to indict Rove just now would be to damage the credibility of his own prospective witness. The possibility of an indictment remains as a highly potent threat If Karl should fail to perform as expected on the stand.

Scooter is the direct path to Sneer. Rove is small fry.

3. and sad, because I thought he was a hero
and would go to Gitmo or get his man (entire crew) with a single indictment. Sorry, I'm depressed.

4. The Bush administration can't keep a good enough secret for this
While I think that these people are evil enough for some of the tinfoil stuff that is posted here, the fact is that when the Bush administration does something, somebody leaks it. From NSA to Abu Ghreib to GITMO to Richard Clarke, people leak it. I'm not saying that they don't do things that we don't know about, but there is too much of a risk that somebody will talk.
