Strange, I don't recall The Da Vinci Code ever being given away for free. Doesn't seem to make sense...after all, if the book is #1, that means it's in high demand and lots of people will want to buy it!

Or, it could mean that neocon organizations buy it in bulk to inflate sales. Nah.

3. There was just an ad at the top selling that nasty old stick's
"book" for 20 cents each.

They want to be sure even the poor shrub-bots can drink the Kool-Aid.

8. Because they don't want to convert us, just bitch about us.
That's such a Christian trait, ya know.

7. Individual sales, or
bulk sales? Are the wingnut billionaires bellying up to the bookstores and bulk buying in order to make Ann appear legitimate? Or are Americans really buying her book?
In the past, she and the other rightwingers have jumped onto the bestseller list by having Scaife and pals bulk buy their books. The book is everywhere. Even at the grocery store. But I haven't seen any individuals buying the book or reading the book.

10. They buy it in bulk in order to make it the #1 book
and then they're forced to give it away because, well, it's crap. I think with the NYT best sellers list, they decipher which books have been bulk ordered and which ones haven't been bulk ordered. I don't think Amazon makes that distinction.

Does anyone know of any of the big "liberal" books have been bulk ordered? Al Franken's books do very well but I've never seen his books sold for $1 on any of the Democratic websites.

13. On the conservativesonly.com site, in order to get the book
Edited on Thu Jun-15-06 12:08 PM by RebelOne
you must purchase a Memory Made Easy course for $149.95, so that book is not so free after all.

And the other site is a conservative book club. You must join in order to get the book.

14. And the "Memory Made Easy" course teaches you GOP talking points.
Pretty fucked up stuff, if you ask me.
