What Web Only Blog/News outlets actually fund reporting and "primary" news

What Web Only Blog/News outlets actually fund reporting and "primary" news
as opposed to op/ed and recycled "web research" news? Which ones actually have the ability to fund reporters "in the field" researching stories?

Even a nationally famous RW "news" site like Drudge is basically a clearing house for links, whatever "breaking" story Drudge has is stuff he's fed from his shadowy masters, I wasn't aware that he was out conducting interviews, taking photos etc.
