That's how we are behaving, we and them, willingly. We've degenerated back to the days of kings and potentates, they decree, we obey. They tax, we pay, we work, they play. We are supposed to have laws and morals, they don't. They tell us to go to war, we do.

We call them our leaders for lack of a better term. Who came up with this ridiculous system anyway, Napoleon?

1. That's What They'd Like You To Believe, Anyway
Knowing how this nation came into being, I'd give it 6 more months, then cue the Revolution. Some things are genetic, and in spite of degenerate inbreeding, this is still a nation of rebels.

2. They do seem to have missed the point of that war.
Royalist at heart I guess. I just think it is wild that these guys are now selling off the highway system or trying to any way. Royal roads with only the rich can pay to use and owned by Spain at that. What next? The water my friends.

3. Yep!
They have their eyes on the Amazon.

When I lived in Brasil, there were lots of articles in the papers about the few thousand US mercenaries on the border of Colombia and Brasil.

Brasil is preparing for a future US invasion - for their water, not their oil... well, that's what Brazilians believe anyway.

4. I just hate to think of some GD Tex. corp owning the local water
A Fr. firm owns Poland Springs water in Maine, or I believe it is a Fr. firm. and they have really increased the amount they pumps out and it is looking like it is doing something to the ground water. I think they need some study on it but who will do it? Jobs and profit mean maybe more than running out of water. Now does any one think, if a corp. owned your water works, that the cost would go down? Go back and look at heat from the sun that the gov. wanted to do once. At tax payers cost but private bus, was not for it.

5. What did you expect?
This is the way of things. But, I'd like to know when you think America wasn't about decrees and the crushing of those without money/land and power.
