Today's vote on Iraq war resolution ... two questions ---->

Today's vote on Iraq war resolution ... two questions ---->
The resolution conflates the war on terror with the war in Iraq. So you could be for the war on terror and against the invasion of Iraq, but this resolution doesn't allow for that distinction.

1) Isn't this a setup so the Republicans can create commercials this fall saying the Democratic Party does not support the troops, or that the Democratic Party is against fighting the war on terror.

2) Since a vote against this resolution will be used in the above manner, couldn't the members just NOT vote. Then Republicans won't be able to create those TV ads.

3. A "present" vote would be the best dissent from this stupid resolution
Some Dems AND some repubs are talking about refusing to engage in the debate and simply voting "present" in protest to this politicalization of such a serious matter.

Here's hoping that all Dems will refuse to fall into this trap set by the administration.
