Dixie Chicks' famous London concert webcast online today!!!!
10:00 tonight. For deets see http://dixiechicks.msn.com/

Yes -- this is the famous show in which singer Natalie Maines dropped the big one -- saying she was ashamed that George Bush came from Texas -- which has caused this talented trio so much grief among their Southern fans.

Don't miss it! The Dixie Chicks are wonderful. If you've never liked "country music" before, well, you're going to like them -- they're that good.

1. If you never liked "country music"
then watching them won't matter too much cos it's more like contempory folk than country music - especially their current CD.

3. Me too
I checked out "I'm Not Ready to Make Nice" -- and was so impressed that I bought their whole canon.

They're one of those rare artists, like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, who transcend musical genres and have a wide appeal.

I am impressed by Natalie's vocals and songwriting talent, as well as their high level of musicianship.

I am really looking forward to this webcast!!

7. Just like the Beatles and Charlie Chaplin
Yeah -- the Beatles went down the toilet when John made that remark about Jesus.

Everyone forgot Charlie Chaplin when he chose exile in Switzerland after decades of persecution by the FBI for his socialist leanings.

Let the Mighty bow down before the rage of the mob!! :sarcasm:

Bless you for supporting them-- Great stuff- eh? They blow me away -- and I am not a country devotee, but I know important talent when I see/hear it

I urge DUers to check out the Dixie Chicks -- their talent trasncends all musical boundaries.

Check them out - they are major artists.

9. Natalie has the cutest little sly look on her face on that webpage
and Emily and Martie look stunning as well.

I hope they don't stray too far into adult contemporary... I think it would be ashame to not let Emily and Martie show off their virtuosity on banjo and fiddle and slide guitar...to me that is what made the Dixie Chicks what they are and I don't hear alot of that on the new CD.
