Iraq War H. Res. 861: "Declaring that the U.S. Will PREVAIL in the War"?

Declaring that the U.S. will prevail in the global war on terror? We haven't even officially declared war have we? No.

How the fuck do we declare that we will prevail? Does that mean it's never over till we prevail? What the fuck does Prevail mean here?

This is just plain stupid. You cannot declare that you will prevail, you can suppose it, shoot for it, but there is no way to declare that you will win, it doesn't work that way.

The whole ridiculous point I guess is to fool the few remaining stupid people to vote this November.

5. the only GOP plan, white house, senate, or house:
maintain power by any means neccessary.

all part of rove's 'brilliant' 2006 strategery: democrats cut & run. nothing else matters, and will be buried beneath an avalanche of black & white, divisive bullshit.

hey democrats: COUNTER IT. your theme should be 4 words long, too. like "TIME TO GROW UP". the problem is that americans don't want to think or feel bad about themselves & their shortsighted choices.

7. It sounds more like a loyalty oath than anything else.
I can't imagine the purpose of this meaningless piece of garbage, except as a political weapon to smear everyone who votes against it as a "cut and run" coward. It's a way of forcing the members of Congress to go on record as supporting the "war on terror" (or not).

what a bunch of fricken idiots they are!!

Maybe we should pass a bill that we will prevail also in
1. The war on drugs.
2. The war on homelessness.
3. The war on poverty.
4. The war against hurricanes.
5. The war against global warming.
6. The war against unemployment.

9. Um.......it's an Iraq War Resolution.....
so why does it say the U.S will prevail in the war on terror? WTF? These bastards are desperately trying to tie the two together (as they've always tried to do). Guess what? Democrats aren't going to stop them. x(

10. Fuck Yea! Terrorists are so toast!
I was eating some freedom fries when I ran across this, the terrorists are so screwed because correct me if I'm wrong, terrorists don't have veto power! Unless the terrorists associates (Democrates) try and filibuster, the War on Terror is in the bag, freedom is on the March!
