Washington- Rep. John Boehner of West Chester won $2,700 playing slot machines at a northern Michigan Indian casino, his new financial disclosure report shows.

According to spokesman Kevin Madden, Boehner was driving near the Kewadin Casino at Manistique on a political trip in 2005 "and stopped off to use a bathroom at the particular casino rest stop. While there, he played a slot machine that hit a return."

Will the Religious Right have their panties in a wad after they hear about this? I doubt it. Only if the Democrats were doing it would they have a problem.

4. casino restrooms are usually EXTREMELY nice

if i had a choice bet. casino and gas station, no doubt where i'd pee, some industries are just more cleanliness oriented than others

next time the good representative will check the machines -- which are generally CLEARLY marked -- so he can play the kind that has a top jackpot of $1,199 or under, to avoid the reporting requirements

:-)

i doubt there was anything hinky abt it, he just got lucky, there are easier ways to pay off a bribe than to manipulate the RNG in a slot machine
