"Armed Madhouse" has arrived
Edited on Thu Jun-15-06 02:01 PM by rman
Greg Palast's latest book "Armed Madhouse" - Who's afraid of Osama Wolf, China Floats Bush sinks, The scheme to steal '08, No Child's Behind Left, and other dispatches from the front lines of the Class War.

Greg Palast is Author of NYT bestseller "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy", works for BBC Television and the British newspaper The Guardian.

I think i'm going to start with chapter 3:
THE NETWORK
The World as a Company Town

The holistic system of systems, petro dollars, electro dollars, the assassination of Hugo Chavez, Euro-nations, Mundell's toilet and coming down from Hubbert's Peak (peak oil).

Also of particular interest seems to be chapter 4:
THE CON
Kerry Won. Now Get Over It...

because they're putting '08 in their pocket. Republicans just seem to have the winning spirit. They also have caging lists, felons of the future, rotting ballots, snuffed canaries, and a lock on the votes of Kissinger-Americans and the undead.

To be followed by chapter 5:
THE CLASS WAR
Hope I Die Before My Next Refill

Dispatches from the war of the movers and shakers against the moved and shaken, including No Child's Behind Left, the Grinch That Stole Overtime and the Chavez of Louisiana. Welcome to 1927.

Looks like it'll be an interesting read.

2. What's wrong with starting at the beginning??
something wrong with the first two chapters? :P

disclaimer: I'm one of those anal people who ALWAYS has to start a book at the beginning. Can't stand watching a movie if I miss the beginning either.

4. I agree, but
the book is structured so you can start just about anywhere you please. I, however, started at the beginning.

And the 5 chapters are separate stories.

3. It is an interesting read
I'm in the middle of The Con and it is truly terrifying. 2000 and 2004 were just practice runs and the "black boxes" are the smoke and mirrors. The real fraud is done with lost or spoiled ballots targeted to persons of color and lower income people. This is the tactic they will use in CA and other important states.
