7. I logged on to DU specifically to give props to Rep. Waters.
She called-out the Republicans for misleading on the Iraq debate, for misrepresenting the Murtha proposal.

She calls the whole House Resolution what it is: an election year stunt. She mentions Karl Rove by name. I've heard others mention Rove. They should continue to do so. Americans should realize, they should know that an unelected adviser is having a greater affect upon our nation than George Bush himself, and I for one find that particularly unacceptable.

One other representative from California mentioned that three quarters of Americans know what the whole dog and pony show today is all about. (I'm sorry to say, I don't recall who the woman was.)

it is interesting to note the level of discourse of each representative and how it must relate to the overall awareness--perhaps intelligence, or ability to think logically-- of that representative's constituents.

Who was the man from Alabama who repeatedly chimed the same line about: "they killed (fill in the blank), and we did nothing"? It was reactionary fear-mongering at its most obvious. I'm so very disgusted today with the Republican party. Additionally, that ignoramus from Alabama claimed that after the first attack on The World Trade Center, we did nothing. That is a lie. And that representative is disgusting for having told it.

May god have mercy on every lying Republican today, because every lie they tell today will guarantee more death. Shame is the legacy of the Republican party in this era.

17. There were two reps from Alabama speaking in the same block of time.
It was kind of like dueling banjos, in that they were both playing the same tune.

15. That wasactually Frank's response to the whole "we did nothing"
rhetoric some of the dimmer Congresscreatures are engaging in.

He referred to them as stupid, but in a very acceptable way.

Good.

19. Sheila Jackson Lee reiterates that we DO have a plan.
Every representative is going to have to answer every question with the details of that plan, simply stated, from this day to the very day of the election.

Over, and over and over and over.

And then repeat it again. You can be sure that the rethugs will be repeating their attacks ad nauseaum on the matter of "Dems having no plan" Really, it's all they ever say in a debate.

was ended "time for Americans to practice free speech", "war is not inevitable", protest, speak out, have town meetings to discuss the war.

"The American people will become the out-of-Iraq Caucus."
