The Democrats are just as bad.

I can’t do anything about it anyway.

Just relax and don’t take things so seriously.

Well, yeah, but Clinton (fill in the blank).

===================

Anybody else have one?

7. My favorite reply to the newest . . .
I'd rather hunt with Cheney than ride with Ted Kennedy.

Yeah, but I'd rather have a cigar with Bill Clinton that either of those.

Bushler's favorite phrase, perhaps in several versions.

When America is destroyed, it will have just been a couple of bad eggs: at the very top of our government and economy!!!!!!!!!

5. We could sit here and talk all night and no one is going to change their
minds.

:eyes:

In other words, I don't really want to talk about it because I know I will get my but kicked.

12. not a line, but...
Surefire proof that you're arguing with someone who doesn't have any evidence is when they just keep lobbing out argument after argument, without pausing to even defend the previous argument after you've refuted it.

I've seen it especially in arguments over abortion or gay rights:

"Gays shouldn't be allowed to get married because a gay couple can't have children."

"Well, what about a sterile, heterosexual couple? That's a marriage that won't produce any biological offspring; are you going to prevent them from getting married?"

"But homosexuality is abnormal. Nature obviously made man to be with woman, so anything that deviates from that is unnatural."

Or

"Abortion is murder, because it's a human life. It will eventually be a human being (or) it has human DNA, ergo it's just as important a human life as you or I."

"A child will eventually be an adult, does that make children adults? My dandruff is dead skin cells, each of which has human DNA; is an itchy scalp the equivalent of the Holocaust?"

"But if we allow abortion; women will just have sex left and right. Abortion will just be another method of birth control."

I've had many conversations with people (not just Freepers, but rather otherwise-sensible people who are just ignorant when it comes to gays or abortion) that followed each of those exactly. They throw out an argument, you refute it, and instead of challenging your refutation, they just throw out another argument, hoping something will stick. It's obvious they haven't given any thought to any of their arguments, or else they'd actually defend them. Of course I believe my responses are valid, but they are certainly open to criticism, though the mere fact that I don't just blindly accept their "argument" like they did surprises them. Though that isn't very surprising, since instead of being arguments, they're really just excuses for their ignorance.

13. The reason so many people are like that is that they surround
themselves with people who agree with them. They are never required to evaluate the talking points.

My neighbor is a perfect example. Came over one day while I was mowing the yard. Tells me that the Atheists are stealing his rights and want to take his bible away. I look him in the eye and say,"Gee, I'm sorry. I wasn't aware I was doing that. Next time you catch me let me know and I'll stop."

It hung him up. Got this deer-in-the-headlights look and wandered off back to the house.
