Study: Blacks Hear Better Than Whites
ATLANTA (AP) -- A government study says black adults hear better than white adults. The study also found that women hear better than men -- and that overall, hearing in the United States is about the same as it was 35 years ago. That's despite the advent of ear-blasting devices such as the Walkman and the iPod.

1. Is that why most blacks vote for Democrats?
They can hear all the bullshit coming from republican politicans, so they vote for the Democrat. :-)

2. Even though we didn't have ipods, we did have earphones...
and parents who insisted we use them. Little did they know we had the volume way up. I saw the Beatles at Shea Stadium, and my hearing has never been the same. Of course, I was a mere babe in arms(not)!

3. Cars and machinery are much quieter
Suppose that balances out the Walkmen and IPods.

I wrecked my hearing at rock'n'roll shows as a youth. It only bothers me in crowds when trying to follow a conversation.
