Well, with Haditha, Ishaqi, and other daily stories from eyewitnesses comes the timely death of the ubiquitous Al Zarqawi- the Emmanuel Goldstein for the new millenium. How much can we attribute, out of the litany of crimes provided by the Pentagon/media to this 'mastermind terrorist'

There are over 1200 employees in the Pentagon PSyOps divisions. MR Zarqawi's reputation was embellished for a public awareness campain to raise his profile and drive a wedge in the insurgency by emphasizing Zarqawi's terrorist acts and foreign origin.(-check out the Washington Post article for further enlightenment)

The man may be as dead as President Bush's ratings but please consider the following, and ask yourselves, if your goverment; along with some unscrupulous Public Relations groups, is capable of suckering people to believe in the warrior fighting to the last breath hyperbole of JEssica Lynch and Pat Tilman; then why could it not succumb to the hyperbole not based on unsubstantiated claims made about the all purpose bogeyman?

AL Zarqawi was a nobody- with a ragtag following until Colin Powell,at his ridiculous 2003, UN Speech labeled him AL Queda #2- in Iraq. CAn you think of a better way to get recruitment going?

Al ZARquawi is Kaizer Solze(^$^)---------- this guy is blamed for all sorts of suicide bombs in Iraq, was apart of the Madrid 3-11 bombing,and a thwarted ricin attack on Europe. He is also been accussed of planning attacks on America and sent a letter with Ricin to US Senator Bill Frist.Zarqawi is known as Al Quedas mastermind for chemical weapons and other WMD's.He must have one hell of a network for a guy they call the ' Lone Wolf'- who has escaped death and capture so many times it defies belief.All this for a guy on a wooden leg!
Al Zarqawi is more propaganda than an all powerful terrorist doing operations in Europe and throughout the middle east!This is how you catch your goverment- using public relations firms that bend the truth, create what appears to be genuine and then distribute 'the story' to various media outlets where with out checking the facts the story gets fed to the media food chain and you the public.Counter terrorism and war propaganda are intertwined.
The propaganda apparatus feeds disinformation into the media news chain and on to you the public.

The AL Zarqawi character, with a $25 million dollar price on his head, was created as a bogeyman for different purposes to different audiences.
IN Jordan he is an effective tool for clamping down on their own Islamic extremists. IN Iraq he is used to divide the country between Shia and Sunni, as the foreigner trying to destabalise their country.In America he is the villain served up as the link between Al Queda trying to thwart democracy,through insurgency.

AL Zarqawis background and productions credits in Chaos:


Our protagonist, Al Zarqawi has a real name.(hollywood/intel writers didn't find it sexy enough) His real name is Ahmad FAdeel Nazal Kha Iayeh(that's a mouthful). He was born in 1966, in Zarqa, Jordan to a retired Jordanian army officer belonging to the Bedouin tribe, loyal to the Haashemite rulers of Jordan.Born of poverty, school dropout, and a one time enforcer 'scarface' wannabe street thug in the Jordanian slums where he was eventually imprisoned for sexual assault.In prison he converts to Islam and moved to Afghanastan in 1989 to fight alongside the Muhjadeen to fight the Soviet occupiers.

According to a Guardian article-Feb 2nd/03-jihadists who knew him he did not adhere to the ideology of Al Queda but to the older resistance group The Muslim Brotherhood(started in the 20's). Indeed his name did not figure on the 22 most wanted list of senior Al Queda men in Bin Ladin's entourage in Aghganastan.
In Aghganastan he ran a guesthouse in an area run by the anti TALiban warlord Gulbedin Hekmat (*nice sounding warlord name far better than Kieth). He lived with about 30 Jordanians and didn't even have a training camp. Mr Zarqawi left AFghanastan through Iran and arrived in Iraq. UP to this point the world had never heard of this guy -and then Colin Powel in his 2003 UN Security Council Speech introduced our protagaonist to the world. The same speech where Colin Powel tried to link SAddam to Al Queda and WMD's and justify Occupation. A Star was born.
Colin Powel's UN Security Council speech tried to link Al Zarqawi to a Kurdish muslim group called Al Ansar( they waged war on Kurdish secularists groups, and the Baathists of Iraq. Colin Powel tried to link one of the leaders of Al ANsar to Al Zarqawi. The leader of this group is named Mullah Krekar who is alive and living in Norway. He had documents that he was willing to submit to the UN and Colin Powel to prove that where was no links between Al Zarqawi.
-Al Ansar and chemical weapons ties with Saddam and Al Queda. Colin Powell told the UN that Zarqawi recieved medical treatment for an artificial leg, in Baghdad as a result of the bombings in Afghanastan to root out the Taliban and Al Queda. DEspite claims by US officials that he is a terrorist; they also admit they have no evidence to charge him despite 2 interviews by the FBI. Even the CIA says the link between Osama and SAddam is untrue ( National Security Project-CIA analyst Melvin Goodman)
Funny thing, this Kurdish group, with mastermind Zarqawi was operating in the "NO Fly zone" in Northern Iraq enforced by US and UK airforce. When the Iraq invasion started the alleged Al Ansar chemical, bio weapons base was bombed. Speical forces raided the camp and find nothing-ABC News-02/13/03.
3 days after Colin Powel's UN speech Al Zarqawi is said to be responsible for suspicious powder ( ricin) sent to US Senate majority leader Bill Frist and also in March 2003 Zarqawi is identified as the mastermind behind a thwarted Ricin attack in several European countries- Saddam had no control over this area at all. UK reports said he had learned to produce Ricin in northern Iraq (where's the evidence?)
IN Febuary 2003 The US led coalition in Iraq intercepts a letter it said was written by Zarqawi to Al Queda leaders detailing a strategy of spectacular attacks to derail the JUne 30th handover of power to the ex CIA -Iraqi Allawi.( how convenient- ever feel you've been duped?)


Never the less, his name then starts to appear in the daily reports. Musab al Zarqawi is presented to world public opinion as a terroristmastermind overshadowing 'enemy # one" Osama bin Ladin--and the same price is put on his head $25 million.
CNN describes him as a "Lone Wolf." A lone wold that seems to be present in several countries in Western Europe, the middle east, and suspected of preparing an attack on American soil. How does a Lone Wolf manage to outwit intelligence agencies?
It is said that Zarqawi is' so secretive even some operatives who work with him do now know his identity" He wears disguises and has all sorts of identity documents. (guess that wooden leg would not make him stand out). With little evidence,no substantiated reporting Al Zarqawi becomes the all purpose bogeyman, appearing in several places at once and responsible for a litany of crimes:

Al Zarqawi is then linked to the Madrid bombings of 3/11.
with a Morroccan group.Press dispatched provide no evidence of Zarqawi involvement in the Madrid bombing. The reports implied without supporting proof that he was involved. According to the CIA the Moroccan group which allegedly supervised the bombings were acting on a ling between Zarqawi and a cell of Moroccan Al Queda members- The Austrailian May27th/04. Also in May Zarqawi is accussed of being linked to the 45 people killed in a bombing in Cassablanca.
In November- 2003 he is accussed by Turkish officials of playing a role in the bombings of 2 synagogues and a British bank and consulate

_Zarqawi is accussed of being behind the bombing of the UN headquarters in BAghdad in August 2003- Zarqawi is identified without supporting evidence. Also in 2003, Zarqawi is said to be the mastermind behind the Al Queda suicide attacks, so many it's not worth listing.

2004--Zaraqawi the Superstar appears everywhere!!!! In 2004-FEB-09 The New York Times headlines reveal a letter by Zarqawi, boasting about the many bombings he has done. It is later revealed that selective leaks were made to the NY Times reporter by the US military via the Iraqi media in Baghdad to pubicise his role( 'the foreigner') in the insurgency.



** STrange thing happens in March/2004- an insurgent group said in a statement that Zarqawi was killed in the mountains of northern Iraq thanks to the bombing. He failed to escape because of his wooden artificial long john silver pirate leg. That story did not fit into the scriptmaking Zarqawi the most famous terrorist, the news stories kept coming with CNN reporting his name linked to some 25 terrorist attacks.Most of the press reports which follow the original CNN report, of the attack often quote CNN as the sole source for the information. So much for fact checking. April 22-2004- reports that Zarqawi has a radioactive dirty bomb device stored in Afghanastan according to leaks from the Department of Defense. Same day Zarqawi suicide bomb plot kills 9.

CNN,April 27th 2004-Jordanian Speical forces raid house in Amman, preventing a terrorist attack that would have involved a combination of 71 lethal chemicals that would have covered a mile of the capital
I guess there was a shortage of duct tape because only two days later- on April 27th, the State Department states that Zarqawi is planning an attack on American soil- all this while the ABu Graib prison scandal was warming up.Less then two weeks as US senators were calling for Count Rumsfieldula's resignation, Al Zarqawi is reported as being the mastermind behind the NICHOLAS BERG beheading video.This video created a wave of indignation with the public and distracted from the Abu Graib prison scandal. CNN's coverage of the Nicholas Berg execution is based on a mysterious report on an Islamic website which CNN upholds as providing evidence that Zarqawi did it.
The alleged figure, in the video purported to be Zarqawi was wearing a yellow ring. Pious muslims do not wear rings.Arab linguists say the voice doesn't match Zarqawis jordanian accent and the voice appears to be out of synch with the shadowy 'zarqawi figure' on the tape.The CIA says the linguists got it wrong and that is their man on the tape.

None of the killers on the video appear to have a wooden artificial leg much to Colin Powels chagrin.
Their claim to linking the one legged hobbling mastermind, to Saddam, and Osama suffered a setback.Immediately when the issue of the artificial leg is mentioned in relation to the video, US officials revise their story that he now has 2 legs and did not lose a leg in AFghanastan-News and World Report- May24 2004.It also appears they had nothing much to say about the lack of blood in the beheading video.
The one legged man now has 2 and escapes when the marines assault Fallujah evading capture.
During May, 2004 in the DAily Telegraph04/10/2004- during the military siege of Fallujah in November-2004- sources with the military said the importance of Zarqawi had been exaggerated by flawed intelligence and the Bush's administrations desire to find a villain. US military intelligence revealed a series of botched dealings with unreliable sources who passed off fiction as fact. $10, 000 dollars were handed out at a time to oppurtunists and criminals to claim arab foreigners were dominating the insurgency instead of most of the insurgency being conducted by Sunnis.
Military sources complained that Washington was not listening to them. Keep the american public conditioned that the Al Queda, Iraq insurgency link is the reason ' we are there to liberate.'( everybody stay on track and on board the freedom train)

2005- and Zarqawi upstages Osama from best supporting actor to leading star.----They always need a villain for a story to market to the public- that's you sucka

IN January The China Daily says he is captured in the Iraqi city of BAquba.(where he finally met his death with the big 500Ib-Bushbuster bombs)In April of 2005, the Pentagon claims they almost capture Zarqawi in RAmadi; instead they capture a trusted leutenant who was Zaraqwis courier to Osama. The letter is later determined to be a hoax.
In May,2005 Zarqawi releases a new audio tape on website and is alleged to have attended an Iraqi hospital and is rumoured to have attended a meeting in Syria and to recieve medical attention for his wounds as the violence escalates.
Another report near the end of May-National Post May30th/2005- reports Zarqawi recovering in an Iranian hospital.( He must have great insurance to travel around so much)
By July he is accussed of a link to the diplomat kidnappings.
By November 9, 2005- Zarqawi is linked to the 11-9 bombings in Jordan, killing 57 in attacks on 3 hotels. On November 13th, a video of Zarqawi denounces the Queen "for Britains crusader laws and calls her an enemy of muslims."
Iraqi intelligence from the Interior ministry also claims they had stopped him the year before and had not reckognized who he was.And in 2006, Febuary 22, Zarqawi the elusive one is alleged to have orchestrated the bombing of the sacred Shia mosque in Samarra which unleashed a wave of militia violence. In April he has according to ' the most trusted name in news' CNN are accussed of trying to blow up another prominent mosque killing 79.
****here's the interesting bit which gives you an idea of how intelligence services, work.
(and public relations firms)- according to the April10th/2006 Washington Post, an internal 2004 memo by a Brigadier, General Mark Kimmit quoted regarding the
" Zarqawi PSYOPS programme and it's successful propaganda campain."Everything imaginable, in Iraq and elsewhere, has been attributed to Zarqawi: the Casablanca and Istanbul bombings in 2003; the assassination in August 2003, in Najaf, of key Shi'ite player Ayatollah al-Hakim; bomb attacks in February 2004 where more than 100 unemployed people applying for a job with the Iraqi police were killed; the Madrid bombings in March; the beheading of Berg; a wave of attacks in June, with more than 100 dead; the beheadings of the two Americans Armstrong and Hensley and Briton Bigley in September/October.And of course the attack on FEB 22nd on the SAmarra mosque was attributed to Zarqawi without any proof but certainly started and upswing in the violence.
Zarqawi is connected to something like three dozen "terrorist attacks" in Iraq, not to mention countless warnings, threats or communiques. But only half a dozen attacks among roughly 3,000 against the Americans and the so-called coalition can be attributed with certainty to Zarqawi.


Is it any wonder with all the convoluted, and unsubstantiated reports regarding Al Zarqawi and his alleged nefarious doings that the public is confused?ditto Jordan and Iraq.

Just cause you saw a video and they tell you it's somebody does that make it real?- most likely reports about his death were true and his name was being used, to pop up in several places nearly at the same time.

I think you can get a picture, from looking at things chronologicaly as to the extent of the hype without substantiation.

REmember that when critics attack you as paranoid-espeicaly in the goverment and big media news organ grinders remember:--at the same time they foster up and endless supply of enemies against whom they promise You protection from.
