MURTHA is MY kind of leader--MY kind of man! WOOF! Ripped 'em a new one!

I have not been so emotionally moved by a Democratic member of Congress in many many years.
I was so proud, the buttons on my shirt popped off as chills ran up and down my spine.
Murtha does not mince words. He tells it like it is. You can just feel his genuine umbrage.

Today on the floor of the House, Murtha ferociously BLASTS the members of Congress
ripping 'em a new one:

"When I hear somebody standing here sanctimoniously
saying 'We're going to fight this out" - - WE'RE not fighting at all.
It's the troops that are doing the fighting.. the families are
doing the sacrificing... a very small proportion of the families in this
country are doing the sacrificing and that's why I get so upset when they
stand here sanctimoniously saying we're fighting this thing. It's the troops
who are doing the fighting not the members of Congress who are doing the fighting."

Murtha is the man I want as leader of the House. PERIOD.

said that if Murtha was around during WWII we'd now being speaking Japanese. Murtha asked him if he fought in WWII? No. Did you fight in Vietnam? No. Did you fight in Iraq? No. The little sissy boys have to act all macho because that's all they got is an act. Murtha is 74 but no doubt the chickenhawks in the house give him a wide berth.
