1. They could only win as Colbert-Stewart - Colbert believes in machine fraud
Edited on Sat Jun-17-06 02:02 PM by blm
and Stewart, as of now, is still siding with the Dem establishment who IGNORE machine fraud.

We need a presidential candidate who BELIEVES that the machines can get rigged and will work with the DNC to secure the machines before the vote - I trust Colbert will do that.

6. Nah, I'm almost positive that Jon knows the Machines are rigged.
But if he ran, I bet he'd get 47 States anyway, so screw Georgia, Florida, AND Ohio!

11. REALLY?!? When did you start watching The Daily Show???
Because back in 2004 (April 7, 2004) He (they) did a very good "report" on the new e-voting machines! Here's a link to a site that has the video:

<http://avirubin.com/vote/dailyshow.html>

Here's a link to the paper the site refers to:
<http://avirubin.com/vote/index.html>

He's been talking about this sort of stuff for years!

12. If someone isn't using their platform to focus on the machine fraud, it's

unlikely they'll be identified with the issue.

Did I miss all the computer scientists interviewed? Or RFK after his article came out? Hopefully, John will have Freeman on when his book comes out.

19. The Daily Show isn't a "platform," IT'S a COMEDY SHOW!!!
A very Satirical, Black Comedy Show, that comments on, and Ridicules stupid Politicians, and most importantly, the Stupid News Media. It is not their goal or job to MAKE or create News, what they do is point out the ridiculous nature of the current "news makers" and "news" media.

Maybe that is why you like Colbert so much more, he more directly ridicules the simple minded commentators who pretend to be "reporting the news," that's just not the style or the format of The Daily Show.

I'm sure RFK Jr. would be on if both of them could find an opening in their schedules, but in case you hadn't noticed, The Daily Show has been on a lot longer than The Colbert Report (9 years vs. 9 months), so I'm sure scheduling is much more difficult on TDS, as everyone and their Brother wants a spot, I suspect TCR is struggling, at this point, to find guests willing to appear.

And finally, they are both only 1/2 hour/4 nights a week shows, which only dedicate 4-5 7 minute segments to interviews, there is no way they can have the variety or number of interview guest you seem to want, especially considering that they need to be FUNNY!

Sheesh, lighten up, go listen to Air America if you want comedians doing un-funny interviews with hundreds of guests per month, that's what they are there for.

do you really want to give up cable shows to O'Reiley and Hannity and the rest of them?

5. Great! Where do I order one? You ought to market that.
Now, that's the ticket. Great design. My only suggestion is to darken the background a tad so the letters pop out more. Congratulations. A fine and noble effort, and where do I send my money?

13. Paulsen. But, forget that: Would he have been better than Nixon in 1968?
Does a bear shit in the woods? Is the pope Catholic? Do the Lions suck?
Actually, I was fortunate to spend time with Pat Paulsen, and in 1988, he taped a Public Service Announcement I wrote. He was, like comedian Mark Russell of PBS (who I also spent time with in that era) a quiet, gentle man who was thoughtful and even shy. Patient and easygoing. I believe when most actors leave their personas, they leave something that they are not behind.

17. Cool story, faygokid! Of course Nixon was terrible for America.
I have made note of the proper spelling of Mr. Paulsen's name! Oops.
