Incredible Link To A Cable From US Embassy In Iraq (Wapo)

Link to a cable from the US Embassy in Iraq that WP somehow got their hands on and printed. It oulines the realities of daily life in Iraq from the standpoint of Iraqi employees in the US embassy. Incredible.

1. What I took from that cable

is that the embassy is sort of an island surrounded by a variety of almost tribal governments....

I am particularly disturbed by the assertion that the central government is "irrelevant".

Now for the disclaimer:

All the above assumes the "cable" is authentic....I will retain a bit of skepticism until I find the second source....

the Washington Post is standing behind the cable as authentic....it's also all over the web this morning.....

I'm dropping some of the skepticism....
