Ten Iraqi bakers were kidnapped in Baghdad ....War on bread?
Edited on Sun Jun-18-06 04:50 PM by SoCalDem
It looks like the violence is getting more random by the minute.. I guess life goes on even during a war, but to see people casually strolling past puddles of blood, is very disturbing..

This war of attrition can only damage the psyche of the whole nation...for generations.. The seeds of hatred we are sowing, will be blooming in sanguine soil for years to come:(...The fruit of those "plants" will be very toxic to all.

1. How bad do things have to be when a person can calmly walk by
such a huge pool of blood and just not care? Or not be sick? Or not want to cry?

2. They have got to be somewhat numb to survive the devastation
that has been wreaked there in the name of "freedom and democracy".

They are a strong people, with long memories.

Wait until the children grow up.

There is no flag large enough...

3. Very few of us ever have to discover how adaptive we can be.
It's that very adaptivity that'll prolong our deep plunge into fascism in the coming years.
