Apparently things are so bad in Iraq that they need guards to guard
the guards. No wonder snow doesn't want the press to make a big deal out of this latest humiliation for the US military.

They are sending GI's out there to remote posts in groups of 3?

1. Bush went to Iraq, spent a couple hours in the heavily fortified
Green zone then proclames everything going just swell.
meanwhile, in the swell country that we do not get the good news stories,
Some soldiers at a checkpoint in the "Triangle of Death" (named by our troops) are taken prisoner.
Now, if you are stationed in the "triangle of death", wouldn't that be a hint to, oh I don't know, the Commander-in Chief maybe, that this country may not be doing as swimmingly as rove wants voters to believe?

2. "triangle of death" is just words, 2500 is just a number
Unless it's your ass in the "triangle of death", or you or somebody you know is one of those 2500.

I'd be more inclined to support this occupation if there was even a single excuse for it that passed even the "faint odor" test. None so far have been much better that concentrated hydrogen sulfide gas.
