O'Reilly just outed another secret prison
Today during his last segment of his radio show, he was outlining his Iraq strategy. It was basically martial law, 7 to 7 curfew, if you break the law you get shot between the eyes, etc. He never expanded on the laws that would get you shot in the head though. Then he said, "If we catch any Al-Queda, they're going to Del Fuego. I'm not suppose to tell you that but that's where the bad guys are." I think he was refering to our "secret" base in the Indian Ocean. Did he just tell "the terrorist" where we are holding the "bad guys" no one has any record of? He said in his smarmy "I know things you don't because the military loves me" way. He's been to Gitmo, you know.

I wonder if anyone else caught it? Has anyone heard this before? I know he is full of shit most of the time but should he be bragging about military secrets only he knows? I'd like to go see his transcript to see if it still there and if he actually said Del Fuego but I hate going to Fox websites.

1. There is a Tierra del Fuego in South America...
O'Reilly might know about it because I think he covered a "war" down there.

3. He might have said De Garcia
I'm trying to find the name of the air base we have in the Indian Ocean. With the help of the British, we "evacuted" it after WWII. We are the only ones there, it is completely militarized, one big base. I want to read his transcript but its not posted yet.

10. You mean Diego Garcia?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diego_Garcia

I don't think they have enough room there, they have it filled up with a massive runway and airplane hangars. I guess anything is possible. They must have some quarters for the pilots of the planes.

13. D-Gar is called the "footprint of freedom"
Because it is shaped like a flintstone foot. We share it with the Brits but we do most of the logistics--there's room for a little prison, if they wanted to put one in: http://www.dg.navy.mil/

Go to the above link and click on the island tour, it'll give you an idea of the size of the facilities.

12. MSN web search showed me no results
to DelFuego+military, or +prisons.
He's either braggin' about finding out something totally unknown and unreported; Or else, and more typically, he's making it up.
If it's true, America is in alot deeper doo-doo than we already are if Dild O'Reilly is being given well kept military secrets.

4. That's it

Thanks, like I said I want to see his transcript, though. It just really struck me when he said because he was so arrogant, "I'm not suppose to tell you but..." At first I thought he said "De Garcia" but I could find an indian ocean island base by that name.

Thanks,

AValdoux

6. I just googled
and found lots of references to the fact that * has secret detention facilities and prisoners on Diego Garcia. Here is a link to Amnesty International, one of many sites covering this:

8. Yep. That's it. Diego Garcia is a major naval base, bigger than Gitmo.

5. There was a band called "The Del Fuegos" once.
I liked them.

I find it hard to believe our government would give a secret prison such a corny and scary-sounding name. Then again...

11. O'Reilly's plan for Iraq sounds just like, what the Nazi's did
Edited on Tue Jun-20-06 02:22 PM by MikeNearMcChord
when they occupied other lands, I guess O'reilly would have the bodies in public, but guess what Bill, all it did was inspire more citizens to fight, and increased the misery for the occupational forces.
