5. Actually, it doesn't surprise me at all.
Kids brains at that age are like little sponges. What concerns me is if he is being taught other important skills rather than a wow inducing flag show.

7. Impressive, but I've seen it before.
The darling and sparkling kid in the video looks very similar in age and appearance to the son of a friend of mine when he was about three or four years old. This cute little boy could read at age two and soon after could identify all the flags of all the nations; could recite the books of the Bible; could recite the names of the presidents (and could answer questions like: who was the 21st president?); could name the capital cities of every state and world nation; could point to a map of the world and identify each country both by its geography and by its individual silhouette, and much, much more.

Everyone who knows him has had incredibly lofty goals for him, as he is a true prodigy with no weaknessess in his academic curriculum. But the boy, who is now 20, along the way discovered a love for music (clarinet, piano) painting (water color), writing, and most important of all --- EMPATHY for his fellow man. When offered a chance to be an exchange student, he chose to go to the nation of Chad, in order to see the third world first-hand and get a sense of what needs to be done.

Today, despite the urgings of parents, teachers and advisors who all tell him he could be a great scientist, he insists on aiming his post graduate work toward establishing social justice.

Forgive me for bragging on him (he's no relation to me, so I feel that I can) but I couldn't help but take this chance to point out that, without doubt, the most intelligent (and gentlest) person I have ever met natually blossomed into about as big a liberal as the world will ever see.

God, I hope he stays that way.

8. That is great!
Get that kid into a school for the gifted! Little guys like this are so impressionable and so pliable. A proper education, started now, would save this little guy from excruciating boredom down the road.
